Introduction to Curling
You want to curl....where do you start?
The first step is finding the club nearest to you. You can do an internet search, visit the
, or use the handy
US Club Locator
hosted by the Kansas City Curling Club.
Once you have found the curling club closest to you contact them and tell them you would like to give curling a try. Most club's will have programs set up for this and will be able to provide you with assistance.
Learning to Curl at the Cape Cod Curling Club (CCCC)
If you are interested in learning how to curl, the Cape Cod Curling Club conducts two Adult Introduction to Curling programs during the curling season. The first during the months of October through December and the second during the month of January through March. These programs consist of eight sessions, held on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. They will cover the history and etiquette, tradition to the game as well as rules and on ice training. As the class develops skills the training changes into a Beginners League where the participants will compete in organized games. Upon completion of the program, participant are invited to become full time members and participate in regular evening league play and our very popular, morning informal league play
Participants are considered limited members of the Club and are encouraged to participate in the many Club social activities and as skills develop may be invited to participate in the Clubs social curling activities.
The club provides the equipment required for these sessions. You should wear warm loose fitting clothes and rubber soled shoes, jeans are not recommended. There is a fee of $80 associated with this training program.
We conduct a separate program for children and young adults.

I've tried it and now I'm hooked!
Once you have completed your training and introductory league play, we are sure that you will want to take part in our regular league play. To do this we offer a trial membership for one half of a season. We encourage everyone to join a league, as playing in games is the best way to learn. We have many leagues to choose from and we will place you on a team for the upcoming session of curling.
If you feel at any time that you would like to work on your game, you can take part in any of the continuation training that the club runs throughout the session or you can ask a club member for advice on any particular part of your game.
