Over the weekend of January 17th through the 20th 2013, Team USA came to the Cape Cod Curling Club looking for as much ice time as they could get and get it they did. The team was just about on the ice all day Thursday through Sunday. They enjoyed four games against our members and plenty of practice time on the ice which the club made available to them. Steve Brown, the USA Team Coach couldn't thank the club and our members enough. Saturday night's banquet dinner created by our own Paul Brennan was magnificent and our thanks go to him and all the helpers he had working with him from the Tuesday Night Men's League. Job Well Done boys!
The main reason for the Team USA visit was to play and prepare for the upcoming World Wheelchair Curling Championship Games which will be held in Sochi Russia between the 15th and 23rd of Febuary, 2013.
Our club has a lot running on the Worlds this year because we have Meghan Lino and David Palmer on this USA Team. Best of luck to them both and the entire team. Good Curling Team USA!
