Learn to Curl
You want to curl....where do you start?
The first step is finding the club nearest to you. You can do an internet search, visit the USCA, or use the handy US Club Locator hosted by the Kansas City Curling Club.
Once you have found the curling club closest to you contact them and tell them you would like to give curling a try. Most club's will have programs set up for this and will be able to provide you with assistance.
Learning to Curl at the CCCC
The best way to try curling at the CCCC is to attend one of our open houses. We usually have two open houses per year. The first is at the start of our season, mid-October. The second is in the middle of our curling year, usually mid-January.
You don't need to make a reservation for our open houses and they are always free of charge. Just show up and wear warm loose-fitting clothes and rubber soled shoes.
Our open houses are advertised on our website and are posted in our club calendar.
You can also contact us anytime and ask to be placed on a mailing list to be reminded before our next event.
I've tried it and now I'm hooked!
Once you have tried curling we are convinced you'll want to continue on in the sport. After you have attended our open house you can join as a trial member. We encourgage everyone to join a league, as playing in games is the best way to learn. We have many leagues to choose from and we will place you on a team for the upcoming session of curling.
After each open house we offer training sessions for our new members. If you would like more training all you have to do is ask and one of our members would be more than happy to schedule some training time with you.
I've missed your Open House but I can't wait until the next one!
If you did not attend the open house and can't wait to try curling please contact us and we can set up a time for you to come down to the club.
