Wheelchair Curling Camp and Tony Testimonial Dinner 

The National Wheelchair Curling Team USA is travelling to Cape Cod for several days for on ice practice at our club from February 7 thru 10 in preparation for the upcoming World Championship which will take place in Scotland from March 3 thru 10.  

While they are here and at their special request, we are holding an afternoon memorial followed by a testimonial dinner honoring the late Tony Colacchio, former Associate Wheelchair Curling Coach, on Saturday, February 9.  

Visiting Wheelchair Curlers and Team USA would also like to have a game on Sunday morning at 9:00 am before they depart for home.  We will need 12 to 16 players from our club TBD so anyone interested in playing on February 10 against these masters should send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. All the attending Wheelchair Campers, their guests and everyone from our club is welcomed to gather together that afternoon at the National Cemetery for the brief service to be held at Tony’s burial site at 2:00 pm.  A piper to march us from our vehicles to his site, a chaplain to say a prayer and blessing, a flag folding presentation, and a live bugler to play taps are all included in this ceremony.  Please feel free to join us if you are interested and available on the afternoon of February 9th.  In the meantime, we are praying for fair skies, the absence of wind and above freezing temps to cooperate with our plans on this day.

Later on there will be Cocktails at 6:00 pm with dinner at 7:00 pm at the club to commemorate Tony and all who gathered here today to honor him.  Please come and enjoy friends from near and far on this special occasion.

Dinner is all of Tony’s favorite foods….Wedge Salad, Yankee Pot Roast with all the fixings and Pie a la Mode for Dessert. Cost for dinner is $15.00 per person.
