Sunday Oct 14, 10:00am - Noon - Warm Room
Instructors - Jamie Hutchinson & Paul Sofuolis
WINNING ON THE ROAD - When you go away to a bonspiel - are you going to win? If you answer yes - this training is for you. If you answer maybe - then you should consider taking this training to find out! If you answer no - then you may want to reconsider taking this training. Are you willing to examine the way you play, the strategies that you use, the technology that you incorporate and the team communication skills that you employ?
As a part of this training we will look at the responsibilities of each player in the context of a winning team. We will talk about communication strategies, about information exchange and about the psychology of team play. To quote Yogi Berra....90% of the game is half mental....
The importance of playing together cannot be overemphasized . Consequently, team formation needs to be thoughtfully approached. We will talk about how teams form and how they dissolve. And, of course, curling etiquette must always be a part of who we are, how we comport ourselves on the ice and why we play the game.
